Seas of Solutions BV purchased Orolia Maritime’s innovative emergency readiness and response brands in April 2021, establishing Netwave Systems BV and McMurdo Ltd under the Seas of Solutions umbrella.
We have a reputation for innovations that include Galileo powered 406MHz distress beacons, the world’s first Return Link Service PLB, a unique AIS EPIRB range and a line of Voyage Data Recorders for Solas as well as non-Solas vessels. Our Netwave NW6000 brand VDR’s are renowned for innovation and quality, in both the new build and retrofit commercial shipping markets. The NW6000 offers a range of features to improve the ease and speed of installation, while the V2 player offers world leading data representation to enhance the value of VDR data in training, post-accident analysis and fleet comparison. In addition to the Solas approved VDR, the NW8000 Compact VDR has been designed and introduced for use on vessels which are not required to carry a full VDR. With remote connectivity the VDR’s are a source for vessel data to improve performance.
